Azul Bahia
Code · AZB-101
Shades ranging from sky blue to navy flow in horizontal waves, while deep navy bands and fine white fissure veins add depth to the pattern. With its rich, saturated blue, this stone is destined to become a focal point in any space.
Azul Bahia is quarried in Brazil’s Bahia state. Although known commercially as granite, it is geologically a sodalite-bearing syenitic rock; its blue color comes from sodalite, a semi-precious mineral. Due to its limited availability, it is considered one of the world’s most exclusive and valuable natural stones.
It can be used for kitchen islands, bathroom countertops, wall cladding, and book-matched feature walls. It resists heat and scratching; clean with pH-neutral products, as acidic cleaners can turn the blue of the sodalite gray.
